  • Work as a strategic partner with engineering teams to align product innovation with manufacturability, speeding up development and delivery.
  • Oversee end-to-end manufacturing strategy-from prototyping to high-volume production-ensuring quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and R&D stakeholders across global operations to drive cross-functional success.
  • Guide, mentor, and inspire junior engineers to build a high-performing, solution-oriented team.
  • Introduce new manufacturing methodologies and technologies to help ASM stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Navigate and resolve complex challenges in fast-paced environments with a solutions-first mindset.
  • Provide executive-level insights on feasibility, cost, and timelines to shape the future of ASM's product strategy.

What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing or new product introduction, ideally within semiconductor or precision equipment industries.
  • Deep expertise in DFx principles with a proven record of delivering scalable, high-quality equipment.
  • Strong leadership guiding design and manufacturing teams toward commercial success.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling complex tools like ALD or epitaxy systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • A collaborative spirit and positive attitude with a passion for leading change.

What sets you apart
  • Advanced skills in semiconductor equipment troubleshooting (plasma, deposition, or ion implant).
  • Experience applying FMEA and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Hands-on capabilities in machining, welding, and prototyping.
  • Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • A curious, creative mindset reflected in personal technical projects-whether building robotics, restoring radios, or automating home systems.
