At VIA, our mission is to make communities cleaner, safer, and more equitable. Are you ready to make a significant impact at VIA?

In this role you will play a critical role in the following areas:

  • Design and manage capture programs for specific Criminal Justice application opportunities, including leading:
    • Thoughtful organized sales meetings with prospects and current customers
    • The creation of compelling proposals that effectively address customer needs and showcase VIA's value proposition
  • Coordinate with other VIA team members and leverage resources to ensure alignment on cost models, certifications, and other sales mechanics
  • Utilize your networks, research, and VIA advisors to identify opportunities, develop targeted campaigns articulating VIA's value, and lead VIA's presence at key industry events

Solution expertise and sales enablement
  • Develop deep expertise in VIA's Criminal Justice application, capable of effectively communicating and demonstrating its value and technical aspects to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Internalize key messaging and create high-impact sales collateral (e.g., presentations, one-pagers, email campaigns), consistent with VIA brand guidelines and intent, to support the sales process

Strategic collaboration and market insight
  • Work closely with Client Delivery and Executive Leadership on solution conceptualization, feature specifications, project plans, pricing, IP considerations, and subcontractor management
  • Translate market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback into actionable insights to inform the product development efforts
  • Co-strategize on overall sales strategy for VIA's Criminal Justice application, including:
    • Determining VIA's value and key differentiators to solve key customer use cases
    • Educating non-law enforcement colleagues on relevant use cases, market trends, and competitive insights

Existing client relationship management
  • Facilitate a smooth, methodical handoff to Client Delivery once new customer contracts are completed
  • Maintain a relationship with customers post-sale to remain in position for expansion or renewal opportunities and/or to address customer reduction/termination risks
  • Help collect payments and resolve other non-delivery commercial issues that may arise during contract delivery

Requirements
What you will bring to this role:

Required experience and sector knowledge
  • Proven experience within the CJ sector, with a strong understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities related to operations, technologies, and procurement processes
  • Demonstrated experience in independently managing complex multi-party dynamics, particularly within government or public sector environments
  • Established network within the CJ community, including potential end users, key decision-makers, and funding sources
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Essential skills and abilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
