Position Overview
Evercrisp Biosciences is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Scientist to support our efforts in the discovery and development of next-generation genetic medicines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in the purification and analytical characterization of complex bioconjugates and a desire to contribute to the development of novel drug delivery systems. Position Overview
Evercrisp Biosciences is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Scientist to support our efforts in the discovery and development of next-generation genetic medicines. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in the purification and analytical characterization of complex bioconjugates and a desire to contribute to the development of novel drug delivery systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative programs targeting challenging biology in areas of high unmet medical need.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the purification, formulation, and characterization of diverse bioconjugates to enable in vivo applications
- Formulate and characterize Cas9 sgRNA complexes
- Contribute to the development and execution of functional assays (e.g. activity assays, ELISA, qPCR, etc.) to study and evaluate test articles
- Support material generation with basic bioconjugations
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs) to ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Collaborate with other team members to problem-solve challenges quickly and efficiently as they arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field, with 5-8 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with relevant purification (SEC, TFF, RP, Affinity, IEX) and analytical methodologies (SEC-MALS, LCMS, ELISA, qPCR, etc.).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- A passion for innovation and the development of transformative genetic medicines.
- Prior experience generating and characterizing protein bioconjugates in a drug discovery setting is preferred.
- Prior experience with gene-editing platforms is preferred.
