Overview

This position is an in-office full-time role that is located in the Mitchell 1 headquarters in San Diego, CA, 92127.

Defines product vision, strategy and roadmap. Prioritizing features/products based on customer feedback and market analysis. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support to ensure product meets market needs and business goals. Monitors product performance, gathers insights, and makes data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage product backlog for assigned products, including developing necessary documentation.
  • Strong prioritization skills, including the ability to balance competing demands, manage resources efficiently, and make strategic decisions to ensure timely delivery of high-impact projects.
  • Utilize data-driven methods to capture and analyze internal/external customer feedback, ensuring insights are integrated into product development and strategy to enhance user experience and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop business cases and support go-to-market activities for new product launches or enhancements. Work with product marketing to ensure content is accurate and marketable.
  • Work with product marketing to analyze and recommend product pricing, promotional activities, and marketing collateral.
  • Develop/maintain/present, market and competitive intelligence.
  • Monitor profit and loss position of products with comparison to business plans. Perform analysis of deviations and generate recovery plans as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Operating Responsibility:
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap and backlog, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
  • Manage the product roadmap and backlog within established budgets and schedules, as outlined in business plans.
  • Provide continuous support for all marketing and sales programs to drive product success.
  • Collaborate with marketing to deliver product strategies to senior management, leveraging competitive analysis, technology assessments, potential new products, and market intelligence.


Qualifications

Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a major in business administration, marketing, economics, or a related field. Required demonstrated computer literacy, including statistical analysis and word processing skills, as well as a demonstrated desire for continuing education.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 5 years business experience in marketing, sales, product development, or product administration.

Demonstrated above average written and oral communication skills are required. Must be capable of producing and presenting executive level presentations.

Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and industry standards is highly encouraged.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with a strong ability to create, edit, and manage documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and emails efficiently.

Technical product background (computer hardware, software) is beneficial but not required.

Additional requirements:

Candidate possesses working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) processes to effectively contribute to project planning, execution, and delivery.

Must be a self-starter who is a creative thinker, and an adept problem solver, capable of driving innovative solutions and independently managing product development tasks.

Demonstrate strong leadership and influence skills to effectively guide and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment, and collaboration without direct authority.

Must be capable of handling multiple, complex projects and assignments concurrently.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment. Regular travel to automotive aftermarket facilities, trade meetings, customer visitations, seminars, etc. will be required as necessary to support the product. There is a periodic need to work extended hours as required.
