Job Description
Job Title: Radiology Technician

Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 07:00-15:00, DAY (5 x 8)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience

License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience

Job Description:

- Demonstrate values of dignity, justice, stewardship, compassionate service, and excellence.
- Responsively address complaints or the appearance of pain in patients.
- Safely position and transfer patients using proper body mechanics.
- Adhere to current procedural coding regulations to ensure accurate patient charges.
- Complete necessary paperwork, charting, and data entry for procedure charging.
- Coordinate technical services for Special Procedures patients, facilitating expert technical patient care.
- Maintain supply inventory accurately and order supplies for new procedures.
- Participate in maintaining the department budget.
- Stay informed on new procedures, equipment, and methods.
- Evaluate and recommend clinical and technical equipment purchases.
- Act as a resource for Special Procedures technical staff, maintaining proficiency as a Radiology Technologist.
- Provide age-specific Cardiology/Special Procedures services to assigned areas.
- Assure preventive maintenance and repair of imaging equipment.
- Operate and use equipment proficiently.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary teamwork and facilitate a collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
- Contribute to departmental integration into the larger organization.
- Actively participate in departmental and organizational-wide committee work.
- Support the department in maintaining regulatory preparedness.
- Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
