Job Description: MSU provides an intermediate level of care requiring basic cardiac monitoring skills with integrated medical surgical nursing knowledge to support medical patients with higher acuity care needs.

Experience
- Experience in critical care
Education
- Adult ECG interpretation from an accredited course is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Other specialty certificates related to the clinical program area as required - including but not limited to BCCNP, CV component of BCCNP, CCNP, early exit option of CCNP, Level 3 of Apex Innovation impulse 2.0 are required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge in adult education
- Ability to facilitate teamwork is essential
- Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
- Demonstrates leadership abilities
- Demonstrated initiative, self-direction, organizational & leadership abilities
