Clinical Application Analyst III, Epic ASAP

Our Digital Technology Services team is seeking an experienced Epic ASAP Analyst to support and optimize workflows in the Emergency Department setting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring effective and efficient delivery of emergency care through the Epic ASAP application and contributes to the growth of Deaconess Health System by supporting implementation and optimization efforts across new and existing emergency care environments.

Job Overview:

• Hybrid or remote position depending on location of employee
• Responsible for the full lifecycle of the Epic ASAP application, including discovery, configuration/build, testing, go-live, and ongoing support
• Lead and coordinate system upgrades, updates, and optimization projects
• Collaborate closely with Emergency Department stakeholders to assess needs, resolve issues, and implement enhancements
• Analyze and solve complex clinical and technical workflow issues with attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
• Manage small to medium-sized projects and contribute to larger initiatives related to clinical optimization and digital transformation

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of healthcare IT or clinical informatics experience, with a focus on Epic ASAP or emergency department systems
• Epic ASAP certification or proficiency required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe
• Deep understanding of ED workflows, triage documentation, provider workflow, and clinical decision support within the Epic system
• Experience with Epic tools such as SmartForms, SmartPhrases, Navigators, and Order Sets
• Proven experience in testing, training, and supporting end users within a clinical application environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA, EMTALA, and meaningful use requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and remote collaboration tools
