Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday)
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Experience: At least 1 year with Cath Lab and EP experience
License: South Carolina RN License (prioritized with license in hand)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) or CCI (RCIS) or SCRQSA (R)
Must-Have:
- Experience in EP (Electrophysiology): ability to monitor, pace, and burn
- Circulate and experience in Cath Lab, including PCI, Shockwave, CSI, Impella Insertion, and Balloon Pump
Job Description:
- Daily caseload per tech varies with volume
- Required to take on-call duty 1 to 2 weekends per month
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs, including floating to EP as needed
- First-time candidates accepted with required experience
- Preferred experience in scrub, circulate, monitor in all cases, tilt table study, cardioversion, and vascular procedures
- Preferred experience with PFA and Watchman procedures
- Proficient with equipment, specifically Siemens and GE
- Must provide a radiation badge, as it is not provided by the facility
- Block scheduling accommodation is subject to prior approval and not guaranteed
- Candidates must reside within a 30-minute drive from the facility to respond promptly to on-call responsibilities for STEMIs
- All requested time off must be included during submission
- Awareness of potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June to November)
- Scrub colors are hospital-issued scrubs
- Charting systems used: Epic, MAC Lab
- Modules are non-billable, averaging 4 hours, and are completed pre-start during orientation
Please ensure compliance with all pre-start requirements. Completion of modules pre-start is necessary and included within non-billable orientation hours.
