Starting at $105,000.00 and up to $115,000 based on experience plus an annual bonus plan. Position Summary

Purpose
The REGIONALDIRECTOR OF RESIDENT CARE RN (RDRC/RN) oversees the development andimplementation of all clinical programs in an assigned region in accordancewith all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Responsible forplanning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and providing training and supportfor nursing care management in the region, to achieve Century Park's qualityand financial objectives for Resident Care at each community. Ensures thehighest quality of care is delivered to residents through quality clinicalsystems. Reports to the Regional Director of Operations.

Working Conditions
  • Works in office as well as in communities (in resident apartments,offices, and throughout community)
  • Subject to frequent interruptions
  • Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positionstemporarily as necessary
  • Subject to falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc. during community visits
Possible exposure to infectious waste, diseases,conditions, etc., including exposure to AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses

Education and Experience
  • Must possess a nursing diploma or AS or BS degree in nursing from anaccredited school college or university
  • Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standingthroughout employment
  • Must have three (3) or more years of successful nurse supervisoryexperience (senior services preferred)
  • Must be knowledgeable of federal and state industry regulations
  • Two years multi-site experience preferred
Must have CPR certification upon hire, or obtainduring orientation, certification must remain current during employment

  • Specific Requirements
    • Must be willing and able to travel extensively
    • Must demonstrate effective communication skills with physicians,resident care staff, residents,families, vendors, and community
    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions whencircumstances warrant such action
    • Must be knowledgeable of nursingadministration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelinesgoverning nursing functions in the senior services industry
      • Identifies and helps solve clinical issues in communities
      • Oversees medication program including accuracy of medication assistance records (MARs), providing hands-on medication assistance to residents and monitoring med passes
      • Conducts regular audits of medication records, med storage areas, MARs and Narcotic Declining Inventories
      • Serves as an effective role model, maintaining an approachable leadership style

      Hospitality Focus
      • Ensures Resident Care Directors and departmental staff perform all duties with a hospitality focus, meeting and exceeding resident requests and needs

      Operating Margin
      • Assists Resident Care Directors with managing labor and resources in accordance with forecasted budget

      Occupancy
      • Provides guidance to Resident Care Directors and resident care staff to establish and support their roles with occupancy and resident satisfaction

      Talent/Staffing
      • Actively supports the interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, supervision, and development of Resident Care Directors in the region
      • Provides guidance to Resident Care Directors related to staffing, hiring, training and counseling new resident care staff
      • Actively participates in and encourages staff retention programs, including timely evaluations and GEM program
      Primary Job Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates expert knowledge of standards ofnursing practices and assisted living regulations
    • Below is a description ofbasic job duties though other related duties may become necessary as directedby supervisor
    • Plans, develops, organizes, implements and evaluates resident caregoals in each community
    • Supports staffing for consistent assignment in each community
    • Guides Resident Care Directors in areas of problem-solving and conflict management
    • Supports Resident Care Directors in the use of QMPI tool and actionplanning process
    • Maintains effective communication between communities and Corporate office
    • Supports electronic health record applications in communities (i.e.,medication management, alerts)
    • Utilizes education and clinical systems development to ensure highestlevel of resident care
    • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals,objectives, policies, and procedures of the resident care department
    • Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but notlimited to: daily leadership responsibilities, supervisory responsibilities,regulatory compliance, and resident rights
    • Must maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary and/orconfidential information
    • Must have expert knowledge in field of practice
    • Maintains professional working relationships with all associates,residents, families, vendors, etc
    • Must understand and follow company policies including harassment andcompliance procedures


    Essential Functions
    • Must be able to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate,benchmark, and direct Resident Care Directors to ensure high quality resident care and services are delivered
    • Must ensure community is compliant with all Federal, State, local, requirements
    • Must serve as effective representative for Century Park in thesurrounding community
    • Must effectively supervise Resident Care Directors
    • Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude
    • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents
    • Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
    • Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
    • Must be able to communicate and function productively on aninterdisciplinary team
    • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach,and move intermittently during working hours
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
