Ivyhill is a seeking Executive Medicine Services Health Care Coordinators for a location in Bethesda,MD. The qualified Executive Medicine Services Health Care Coordinators (EMSH Coordinators) are responsible for executing and monitoring work in accordance to the Executive Medicine Services Care Coordination support plan and use operational and tactical knowledge and expertise to make decisions pertaining to care coordination requirements for Executive Beneficiaries. The EMSH Coordinators will administer, supervise, or perform work required to coordinate primary and specialty healthcare for Executive Beneficiaries. May advise agency management on policy formulation and the potential public reaction to proposed policy and identify and carry out communication requirements inherent in disseminating policy decisions. Will identify communication needs and develop informational materials that inform the appropriate stakeholders of agency's policies, programs, services, and activities, and planning, executing, and evaluating the effectiveness of information and communication programs in furthering agency goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Applies knowledge of medical terminology specific to understand requirements of care coordination, medical processes, and procedures sufficient to provide specialized and expert care coordination support.
  • Applies knowledge of Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) specialty services, capabilities and capacities and optimizes access to care for Executive Beneficiaries, considering complex scheduling requirements of the beneficiary.
  • Plans, designs, and oversees agency's policies, programs, and procedures governing information dissemination functions for significant and controversial agency decisions or actions that directly affect the agency and its components.
  • Provides advice and consultation on program-specific public communications.
  • Analyzes and evaluates program needs to advise the supervisor and other management officials of the information that should be made available to Executive Beneficiaries, MTFs, or the public.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with MTF leadership, clinic staff, partners in care for Executive Beneficiaries, and other relevant stakeholders or organizations.
  • Provides superior customer service and organizational skills. Undertakes comprehensive care coordination that address all routine, specialty, or urgent healthcare coordination requirements.
  • Ensures consistent communications and active engagement with external stakeholders that are implicit in agency's mission. Coordinates the dissemination of program-specific performance improvement information within the organization ensuring communication processes are included.
  • Collaborates, interacts, and represents the organization at the highest levels within the government and with representatives of the healthcare community and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, management, and senior leadership to translate complex care coordination information into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Provides leadership and direction to agency to determine customer needs and identify or recommend what is the best care coordination and communication strategies to use in order to meet their needs through multiple channels, such as training, events, conference calls, in person visits, and other communication modalities.
  • Prepares reports and/or presentations and presents results to individuals and groups such as senior leaders, managers, clients, professional organizations, and/or other groups and individuals.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of care coordination and communication programs by analyzing historical data and making recommendations to management for improvement to programs based upon such evaluations and in-depth analysis.
  • Reviews and interprets new regulations and policies. Independently maintains, formulates, and/or updates general policies, regulations, plans, and procedures relating to administrative functions to meet current and/or changing conditions as required.
  • Ensures that routine responses to executive medicine services related inquiries on standard matters are appropriate and in compliance with agency preferences and policies.
  • Applies knowledge of medical terminology specific to understand healthcare requirements, coordination of care requirements, medical processes, and procedures sufficient to coordinate care and provide specialized and expert administrative and programmatic support.
  • Develops, executes, monitors, and oversees programs supporting the care coordination requirements of executive beneficiaries enrolled within the National Capital Region (NCR) and those not enrolled but seeking care within the NCR.
  • Monitors legislative activities and tracks changes to agency policy for potential impact on executive medicine services care coordination programs.
  • Supports optimized access to care, reliable communications, and information dissemination for beneficiary populations in assigned programs and the ability to meet and interact with individuals from varying backgrounds and other health care team members in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Applies knowledge of medical terminology specific to understand healthcare requirements, coordination of care requirements, medical processes, and procedures sufficient to coordinate care and provide specialized and expert administrative and programmatic support.
  • Develops high-visibility strategic communications plans for highly complex executive medicine services matters, which include messaging, engagement opportunities, assets needed, key locations, and description of the audiences that the plans seek to educate and inform.
  • Plans, designs, and oversees agency's policies, programs, and procedures governing executive medicine functions for significant and controversial agency decisions or actions that directly affect the agency and its components.
  • Provides advice and consultation on public relations topics and the evaluation of public relations programs, to establish, maintain, and manage communications planning and evaluation, media relations, and information dissemination.
  • Analyzes and evaluates program needs to advise the supervisor and other management officials of the information that should be made available to the public or approaches to take in order to attain program goals.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships special interest groups and other relevant organizations.
  • Provides superior customer service and organizational skills. Designs and undertakes comprehensive business studies, initiatives that address the most urgent and unique customer requirements.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, management, and senior leadership to translate complex executive services care coordination requirements into actionable insights and strategies. Analyzes and evaluates the program's processes and data and develops procedures and processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the agency to determine customer needs and identify or recommend what is the best programmatic, communication, or protocol-related strategy to use in order to meet their needs through multiple channels, such as training, events, conference calls, person visits, and other communication modalities.
  • Applies research tools, information technology, and systems knowledge to decision-making processes, system development methods, or other operations to provide oversight to coordination or program-related requirements with high visibility, unusual urgency, or program criticality.
  • Provides executive-level advice and guidance to senior management on coordination, program, and communications strategies and technologies; policy development, review, and analysis; advocacy relations plans and strategies; and the ability to plan and develop innovative solutions for complex issues.
  • Prepares reports and/or presentations and presents results to individuals and groups such as senior leaders, managers, clients, professional organizations, and/or other groups and individuals.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of executive medicine services coordination of care programs by analyzing historical data and making recommendations to management for improvement to programs or communications based upon such evaluations and in-depth analysis.
  • Researches highly complex program and policy areas, and exercises primary responsibility for developing goals, analytical framework, and appropriate methodologies to plan, implement and evaluate studies and projects.
  • Prepares responses concerning various program and policy inquiries by conducting fact finding and research as needed, consulting with appropriate top-level officials in and outside of the agency and presenting recommendations for consideration of senior managers.


Requirements

The qualified candidate:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree or technical healthcare industry certification(s) are preferred.
  • Must have a Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain the Clearance).
  • Must have 5+ years experience in a healthcare environment and/or hospitality services.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication competencies.
  • Must have experience with executing operational programs.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework in health care systems.
