Role Overview: Could you be our next VP, Public Relations?Globe Life is looking for a VP, Public Relations to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for handling media relations, crisis communications, and brand reputation to drive positive public perception. Understanding the complexities of dealing with the media and identifying opportunities without creating risks is the central focus of this position.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance brand visibility including crisis management strategies and responses to potential issues impacting public opinion.
• Create compelling press materials, including press releases, and crisis communications to maintain brand integrity and enhance visibility.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor media coverage to identify opportunities to proactively mitigate potential risks, analyze public sentiment, and draft responses to protect the Company's image.
• Collaborate with the social media team on effective use of platforms for building a positive brand presence and serve as a liaison for mitigating social media conflict.
• Track online sentiment and ensure consistent alignment with the Company's public image and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate potential issues, craft proactive messaging, and respond swiftly to emerging crises, safeguarding our brand's reputation and fostering trust with members and stakeholders.

What You Can Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in an agency/strategic Public Relations firm, or at a company in the financial services sector.
• Prior experience in a leadership role is required.
• Experience with corporate reputation, brand management and protection through integrated communications programs.
• Experience directly counseling clients/senior ranking executives through a broad range of crises, issues and special situations, with preference for those in the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of successful Public Relations campaign management and crisis communication handling.
• Demonstrated success in building internal and external relationships at a senior level with a proven track record of success in public relations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
• Must be highly detail-oriented and self-motivated.
