THE WORK
As the Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in driving initiatives that elevate productivity, quality, and operational efficiency across our Bridgeport and Stratford facilities. You'll work cross-functionally across detail parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and major component joining to embed a culture of operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering CI Framework Project Outcomes: Drive execution of the CI framework and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Executing CI Events: Facilitate CI events to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, implementing impactful and sustainable changes.
Championing CI Projects: Utilize CI trackers to monitor project progress, maintain momentum, and ensure successful completion.
Coordinating Training: Support skill development by ensuring team members attain and maintain CI proficiency.
Identifying Cost Improvements: Partner with teams to uncover and prioritize cost-saving opportunities.
Standardizing Metrics and Meetings: Create consistent performance metrics and meeting structures, including the development of visual management tools like 'fishbowls' to promote transparency and problem-solving.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Considered an emerging authority.
Familiar with lean Six Sigma Principles
Comprehension of analytical tools, workflow time studies, and project management
Familiar with databases, data mining, and data analytics
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills coupled with being a team player
Desired skills
Familiar with continuous improvement tools: SAP, Solumina, JIRA, & Tableau Dashboards
Strong Organization skills including attention to details
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address and resolve issues.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
Previous Sikorsky Operations experience

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
