Summary:
The Regional Director of Career Services plays a key role in supporting the institution's mission by providing leadership and direction in Placement, Externship, and Career Services seminars. This position ensures that career services goals are met or exceeded, particularly around student placement.
Campus Coverage: This role will support the following campuses: Modesto, Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield, Rancho Cordova, and Santa Maria.
What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $95,000-$110,000 per year.
The Regional Director operates with accountability and leverages data to drive results. This role requires a strong understanding of the career services process, problem-solving proactively, and highly developed critical thinking skills. The Regional Director uses various resources, including an activity-based management system, to analyze data and lead the Career Services team. Extensive travel is required (up to 75%). In addition to directly reporting to the Senior Director of Career Services, they will also receive support and direction from their respective Vice President of Operations for the region.

The Regional Director may supervise Career Services Associates, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in alignment with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Duties include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving issues with discretion and independent judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set and monitor daily, weekly, and term-based placement goals to ensure consistent achievement of placement targets.
- Provide tactical direction and performance management of Directors and/or Assistant Director of Career Services at times in collaboration with the Campus Director.
- Tracks daily activity of Career Services teams to ensure activity levels are met or exceeded.
- Audit placement activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Analyze activity to identify areas of opportunity, optimize execution of placement funnel, and maintain high activity levels.
- Support the Directors and/or Assistant Directors of Career Services in the training, development, performance management, and observations of the Career Services team as appropriate.
- Administer the training program for new Career Services Associates, ensuring consistent onboarding practices.
- Perform side-by-side coaching and conduct performance evaluations for team members, documenting performance as appropriate.
- Conduct audits in the internal documentation system to ensure accuracy and provide feedback as necessary.
- Conducts at a minimum, weekly touch base meetings with each Director and/or Assistant Director of Career Services
- Oversee employer outreach efforts for the Career Services team and set specific goals for job orders and interview targets.
- Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Financial Services and Academics on cross-departmental processes and projects.
- Participate in Advisory Board meetings to represent Career Services and share insights on industry needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all externship documentation
- Ensure the Career Services team conducts all required workshops each term and delivers key career development content.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive student engagement plan throughout the program lifecycle, aimed at improving placement outcomes.
- Ensure accuracy in licensure audits and data entry, meeting all deadlines.
- Foster collaboration with other managers and stakeholders across the organization to share information and enhance student and employer engagement.
- May need to assume a caseload, in the event there are open positions at a campus.
- Handle special projects and ensure timely responses to management requests.
- Travel regularly (up to 75%) to support the campuses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of management-level career Services/placement or staffing industry experience
- Prior direct supervisory experience is required.
- Experience managing multiple locations and/or nationwide recruitment territories with a proven record of success preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills. Must be able to work
on many different types of projects and seeing each to a successful completion. - Demonstrated successful multi-tasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective problem-solving and consultative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
