How will you make an impact in this role:

As a Senior Analyst, Marketing SBS Products, you will play a critical role in driving engagement within our existing portfolios through the strategic development and execution of product launches/refreshes, marketing campaigns, and portfolio management. You will be joining a team that is committed to growing the Canadian P&L and creating best-in-class products for our Cardmembers.
As a member of one of our dynamic product teams, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of Business Platinum, Business Gold Rewards, and our evolving suite of SBS Card Products, along with their associated services, benefits and capabilities. You will continually develop and hone your analytical and data skills through the work on product performance dashboards, competitive reviews, post-campaign analysis and research, extracting insights throughout to inform product strategy and campaign development. Working with the team and our leaders, you will have the opportunity to help define our long-term Product Line Strategy and be a key player in helping us to drive profitable growth, competitive advantage, enhancing our products and encouraging retention and loyalty.

Specific role responsibilities include:
Strategy & Analytics
- Support the development and execution of portfolio strategy including new products/capabilities, product refresh efforts and multi-year roadmaps.
- Develop regular reports measuring and analyzing the performance of key business metrics; recommend and implement strategic actions and solutions grounded in data and insights.
- Understand customer and competitive trends by carrying out periodic competitive and qualitative assessments and providing commentary on findings .
- Assess financials and business case for refreshed/new products.
Product Management:
- Create and regularly update documentation to create an effective foundation for the management of our products from a brand, process and technological perspective (i.e. product rule and guidebooks, process 101s).
- Work across broader Amex team (servicing, card member services, legal, compliance, technology, etc.) to support a seamless card member experience.
- Partner with internal marketing teams and creative agencies/ lead development on campaigns that drive loyalty, spend, customer satisfaction, engagement and support our product benefits and their utilization.
- Measure marketing campaign performance to identify opportunities and inform future actions, keep up to date and monitor campaigns launches by other teams that may affect our products.
- Review marketing materials for accuracy and oversee all product messages and disclosure materials targeted to prospects and Cardmember base.
- Support special projects outside of regular portfolio management, as required.
Qualifications:
- University Degree (preferably Business/Marketing) with minimum 2-3 years of product management, marketing or business management work experience.
- Proven self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive results and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation.
- Experience developing partnerships and/or managing relationships.
- Proven ability to analyze data sets; demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; emphasis on proposal development and the creation/delivery of effective presentations.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking, project management, attention to detail and prioritization skills in a demanding environment.
- Proven ability to lead change and set priorities, with capacity to be flexible and adapt with new opportunities.
- Strong team player with proven ability to build relationships across the Blue Box to accomplish goals.
- Resilience and ability to adjust to change.
- Proficiency in MS Office, notably Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
