Description:

We are seeking a Radar Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep technical expertise and leadership experience in radar system development and signal processing. This senior-level role is ideal for candidates with 15-20 years of experience in radar waveform design, algorithm development, and hardware implementation for advanced aerospace and defense systems. You'll lead cross-functional engineering teams and help drive innovation in high-impact radar applications, including missile and space systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of radar systems and advanced radar signal processing algorithms.
  • Design and trade off radar waveforms and algorithms for optimal system-level performance and hardware efficiency.
  • Collaborate with FPGA/ASIC teams to support the integration and validation of radar algorithms in hardware.
  • Provide implementation and test provision inputs for validating signal processing designs in prototype and flight hardware.
  • Conduct end-to-end radar system analysis, including Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection (EA/EP) analysis.
  • Adapt algorithms for both hardware-based (FPGA/ASIC) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) environments.
  • Support altimeter and Height-of-Burst (HOB) sensor applications (prior experience desirable).
  • Mentor and lead a team of 4-6 junior engineers, guiding development and technical execution.

Required Qualifications:
  • 15-20 years of hands-on experience in radar systems engineering, signal processing, and algorithm development.
  • Proven expertise in radar waveform design and radar signal processing.
  • Extensive experience designing radar algorithms for FPGA or ASIC implementation.
  • Understanding of hardware/software trade-offs in algorithm development.
  • Experience developing signal processing systems for missile or space applications.
  • Prior involvement in testing and validation of algorithms on both prototype and flight hardware.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with altimeter or HOB sensor systems.
  • Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) and EA/EP analysis.
  • Leadership experience managing technical teams or project groups.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is a strong plus.
