Description:
We are seeking a Radar Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep technical expertise and leadership experience in radar system development and signal processing. This senior-level role is ideal for candidates with 15-20 years of experience in radar waveform design, algorithm development, and hardware implementation for advanced aerospace and defense systems. You'll lead cross-functional engineering teams and help drive innovation in high-impact radar applications, including missile and space systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of radar systems and advanced radar signal processing algorithms.
- Design and trade off radar waveforms and algorithms for optimal system-level performance and hardware efficiency.
- Collaborate with FPGA/ASIC teams to support the integration and validation of radar algorithms in hardware.
- Provide implementation and test provision inputs for validating signal processing designs in prototype and flight hardware.
- Conduct end-to-end radar system analysis, including Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection (EA/EP) analysis.
- Adapt algorithms for both hardware-based (FPGA/ASIC) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) environments.
- Support altimeter and Height-of-Burst (HOB) sensor applications (prior experience desirable).
- Mentor and lead a team of 4-6 junior engineers, guiding development and technical execution.
Required Qualifications:
- 15-20 years of hands-on experience in radar systems engineering, signal processing, and algorithm development.
- Proven expertise in radar waveform design and radar signal processing.
- Extensive experience designing radar algorithms for FPGA or ASIC implementation.
- Understanding of hardware/software trade-offs in algorithm development.
- Experience developing signal processing systems for missile or space applications.
- Prior involvement in testing and validation of algorithms on both prototype and flight hardware.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with altimeter or HOB sensor systems.
- Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) and EA/EP analysis.
- Leadership experience managing technical teams or project groups.
- Active Top Secret clearance is a strong plus.
