As a Senior Construction Project Manager at Elmington Construction, you will be responsible for managing the projects' schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client goals in partnership with the Superintendent. This position manages long term and short term goals and uses team members effectively to achieve those goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Understands, models & enforces Elmington's safety standards
  • Works with Pre-Construction and field team to identify and implement all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements
  • Manages project startup, including obtaining permits and licenses
  • Works with field team to develop and facilitate safety, construction operations, and material deliveries
  • Oversees buyout process
  • Collectively works with PX/RM and the project team to review all subcontracts for scope and financial accuracy in comparison to the project documents and project budget, including any terms and conditions negotiations between subcontractor and executive/legal team
  • Manages and oversees all project documents including RFIs, submittals, etc
  • Prioritizes and expedites material deliveries according to project schedule requirements
  • Is responsible for and has extensive involvement with project teams to develop and maintain the project schedule. Ensures schedule is kept current
  • Proactively manages/oversees all aspects of the budget including change orders, vendor invoices, subcontractor pay apps, projections etc
  • AntIcipates, manages, mitigates, and resolves risk. Relays risk and strategies to PX or RM
  • Works with PX/RM to maximize profits
  • Leads OAC meetings
  • Oversees job closeout and warranty process
  • Prioritizes and actively mentors and trains others
  • Establishes and maintains effective relations with all project team members and works collaboratively with them
  • Demonstrates adherence to EC policy and processes and teaches EC policy and processes to new team members
  • Manages multiple projects and keeps things on track
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
  • S. Degree in a Construction related program is preferred, but not required if experience levels are high.
  • 7-10 years with related industry experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel may be required dependent upon specific assignments.
