The National Sales Engineering Manager I is responsible for leading the strategy and, potentially, the team responsible for field execution in multiple, complex Data Center projects for national accounts. This position pioneers and grows relationships both corporately and in the field, including engineering and design firms, and identifies, develops and implements a national sales strategy that will create new sales opportunities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's engineering degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of successful recent sales or marketing experience working within assigned channel
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight up to 50%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year working with SAP or equivalent ERP system
- 3 years progressive supervisory experience working with remote teams
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Develops and implements strategic sales plan focused on growing sales.
- Builds strong relationships with engineering and design firms for Data Centers
- Support application engineering team bidding new projects
- Assists Account Managers and Other sales functions as SME for projects
- Forecasts, develops, manages and achieves budget.
- Analyzes and reviews sales trends to identify opportunities and threats.

- Manages sales pipeline for consistent flow of sales opportunities.
- Develops broad and deep account relationships.
- Helps negotiate and close contracts.
- Expands Generac's existing business and focuses on ways to expand Generac business into new areas.
- Negotiates placement of new and existing products and programs with current and prospective customers.
- Drives flawless customer service execution, analyzes the current business and implements new strategies for customer service.

- Designs and directs the work of the team. Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary
- Works with the Marketing Department to develop initiatives/merchandising/packaging that drive sales efforts.
- Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.
