Reporting to the Senior Supervisor of Maintenance Engineering & Capital Projects, this role will support the preparation and adoption of new technologies within the operation.

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor of Maintenance Engineering & Capital Projects, this role will support the preparation and adoption of new technologies within the operation.
What you will do:
- Support the Autonomous Mining Operations (AMO) team with electrical and programming expertise to develop and field test cutting-edge Tele-Remote and Automation technology.
- Own and deliver technical assignments which support the advancement of key milestones.
- Identify, plan, and execute pilots for additional technologies required to enable operation via Tele-Remote and Automation.
- Work collaboratively with other AMO team members to complete tasks across all functional areas.
- Assist with managing and reviewing other on-site and off-site contractors' technical work related to Tele-Remote and Automation.
- Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting field equipment related to automation and Tele-Remote.
- Assist with work order plans that include time allowances, trades required, and necessary materials.
- Work with the Planning, Engineering, Maintenance and Operations groups to prepare regular and shutdown. maintenance activities to effectively coordinate and complete work.
- Continually work on inventory additions and corrections to existing drawings to reflect current field modifications and newly implemented technologies.
- Attend and participate in Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews and Sprint Planning meetings.
- Present the Daily work plan and flag potential roadblocks to the AMO team leadership.
- Present monthly deliverables from assignments to AMO team leadership.

Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Engineering Technology diploma, or technologist diploma in a related field.
- Experienced AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor.
- Maintenance planning experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with SAP Operating System is considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of soft rock mining is considered an asset.
- Excellent control system and PLC programming skills (ControlLogix).
- Experience with communication networking would be considered an asset.
- Experience with equipment design and field instrumentation.
- Previous experience with creating innovative solutions.
- Ability to utilize team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently with the ability to bring in external resources as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to process and explain complex technical concepts and align other team members on decisions.
- Ability to work well with all levels (Front Line Operators, Supervisors, General Foreman, etc.) as an ambassador of AMO.
- A positive attitude and excitement about the Agile process and AMO.
- Microsoft Office 365 experience required.
