POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Qcells is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead Qcells entry into the New Homes space with EPC & financing services. You will be part of the new homes account management team, creating and developing relationships with homebuilders and dealers. This role is pivotal in integrating Enfin's financing solutions into new residential projects, ensuring that our offerings align seamlessly with the needs of the modern homebuilder.

This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and secure collaborations with national, regional, and local homebuilders and developers to incorporate.
  • Channel Development: Assist in building out the team to comprehensively address homebuilders' requirements, including process and product improvement.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Provide input on market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the new homes sector, informing the development of targeted business strategies.
  • Sales Activities: Present solar solutions to prospective homebuilders to continue to build the business.
  • Marketing Leadership: Develop Qcells as a presence at major conferences and industry events including local building industry events.
  • Volume Planning: Assist in forecast bookings based on builder growth and sales cycle timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with key industry stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and real estate professionals, to promote the Company value proposition.
  • Account Management: Provide continual follow-up with homebuilders including detailed launch activities and regular meetings to ensure expectations are met.
  • Team Leadership: Hire a team of Client Service Managers, establish KPIs and an implementation strategy. Lead team in Vice President's absence or departure.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, marketing or other related field with a minimum of 12+ years' professional work experience including 10 + years' experience in new homes business development and 5+ years' experience in residential solar development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, team development, people management and influencing skills at a senior level, including leading and managing large teams.
  • Impeccable attention to detail as well as a detailed analytical thinker with ability to recruit and lead quantitative talent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present credit management, vision and strategy in internal and external forums.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to thrive in a high growth environment.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly.
  • Deep understanding of the residential solar industry and its market dynamics.
  • Ability to ideate, develop and execute strategic plans, in close collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.
