Job Summary
The Director, Master Data Management will define, implement, and oversee the enterprise-wide master data management strategy to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and governance across all business domains - including customer, supplier, items, contacts and other domains. This individual will play a critical role in driving data governance, improving data quality and ownership of MDM platform. This individual will be responsible for MDM Ops team and MDM technical team.
This position will be based onsite in Westerville / Columbus, OH.

Job Summary
The Director, Master Data Management will define, implement, and oversee the enterprise-wide master data management strategy to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and governance across all business domains - including customer, supplier, items, contacts and other domains. This individual will play a critical role in driving data governance, improving data quality and ownership of MDM platform. This individual will be responsible for MDM Ops team and MDM technical team.
This position will be based onsite in Westerville / Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the enterprise MDM strategy aligned with business priorities.
- Define MDM policies, data standards, and governance frameworks across domains. Prioritize key data domains for quality improvements.
- Own the data lifecycle for key domains: Customer, Supplier, Item, Contact to name a few.
- Ensure domain ownership alignment with business process owners.
- Oversee the improvement of MDM platform (Chainsys) and eventually drive selection of future state platform.
- Ensure integration of MDM systems with ERP, CRM, PLM, and data platforms.
- Define the technical architecture for master data flows, matching, merging, and syndication.
- Establish KPIs to monitor data quality, completeness, and timeliness.
- Lead remediation efforts to resolve data quality issues at source and system level.
- Build and manage a data stewardship network across functions and regions.
- Drive enterprise-wide change adoption through communication and training programs.
- Evangelize the business value of MDM to drive cross-functional alignment and buy-in.
- Build and lead a high-performing MDM team, including data analysts, stewards, and architects.
- Foster a culture of data ownership and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise data management, with 5+ years in MDM leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and data integration practices.
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Oracle CDM, etc.).
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, PLM, and cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive change in a matrixed global organization.
