Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing expert judgment and analysis for the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems. This role involves resolving highly complex technical issues and conducting advanced research. The candidate will design products and systems that can be complex in nature, necessitating the expert application of engineering knowledge. Additionally, the role includes generating essential electrical engineering documentation such as single line diagrams, panel layouts, electrical schematics, load lists, I/O and alarm lists, and P&IDs, among other critical documentation required for the fabrication of control and power panels.
Responsibilities
The candidate will work in an office environment 70% of the day and 30% in the shop. They will be a direct partner of the Electrical Engineering manager and will have the opportunity to help lead a team of 2 Electrical Engineers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

Job Description

Additionally, the role includes generating essential electrical engineering documentation such as single line diagrams, panel layouts, electrical schematics, load lists, I/O and alarm lists, and P&IDs, among other critical documentation required for the fabrication of control and power panels.
Responsibilities
- Translate a system process into an electrical system that meets process and functional requirements according to either a standard design or specification-driven project.
- Prepare, review, and approve drawings, models, sketches, equipment lists, Bills of Material, manufacturing work instructions, standard operating practices, and verbal instructions.
- Plan and self-monitor daily engineering and design work assignments.
- Control and monitor schedules to meet completion dates, customer technical specifications, and internal technical specifications.
- Develop and use engineering standards, procedures, and forms for engineering design and production fabrications. Write and administer work instructions.
- Supply engineering advice and counsel to engineers, Project Managers, Application Engineers, and Customer Service personnel as required.
- Represent the company in outside customer discussions and technical reviews.
- Originate and apply new engineering methods and procedures to lower costs and improve quality.
- Provide technical support for proposals and job estimates.
- Provide technical support for new product development.
- Understand and adhere to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.
- 7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience in programming control application programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Siemens PLC, Modicon, and Allen-Bradley.
- Preferred experience in the Water Treatment Industry and UV Systems.
- SAP experience.
- Field experience.
- SCADA Integration experience.
- Experience in PLC and HMI programming.
