Position Overview: The Director of Integration Management will oversee and manage the effective integration of acquired entities into the operations of NextEra Energy Retail/ Gexa. The position requires a strong background in operations and technology systems, financial management, and change leadership to ensure seamless transitions aligning with the company's strategic growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating complex integration projects, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving operational efficiencies across multiple geographic and functional areas. This role will be based in Houston, TX and will report to the Chase Center.

The position plays a key role in building strategic relationships and executing major contracts necessary to support the Company's generating business growth initiatives. This role reviews and oversees the development of key project agreements. This role is responsible for all aspects of the business deal and will be involved in the closure of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Strategy and Planning:
- Develop, lead, and execute comprehensive integration plans for both new and legacy acquisitions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and timelines.
- Drive prioritization and alignment of resources to execute against integration plans.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones to measure the success of integration activities.
- Systems and Operations Management:
- Execute integration plans of operational systems, including billing, customer service, supply chain, and IT systems.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency post-integration.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross functional partners (e.g., finance, IT, HR, operations) to facilitate integration activities.
- Integrate with M&A team to ensure smooth transition between M&A and integration activities
- Serve as point of contact between the acquired company and internal teams to ensure alignment and support.
- Financial Oversight and Risk Management:
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking of integration activities to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
- Identify and mitigate integration risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
- Change Management and Communication:
- Lead change management initiatives to align acquired entities with the company's culture, values, and operating standards.
- Develop and implement communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the integration process.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor the progress of integration projects against established metrics, timelines and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the integration plan and ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage risk register and support solutioning for risk mitigation efforts.
- Post-Integration Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive post-integration assessments to evaluate the success of the integration process and capture lessons learned for future acquisitions.
- Leverage insights gained from integration experiences to inform and enhance M&A activities, due diligence, and negotiations. Recommend early decision-making or alternative transaction structures to facilitate smoother integrations and mitigate potential challenges.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in the integration processes and methodologies.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing integration team, providing direction, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Foster a team culture focused on collaboration, continuous improvement, and achieving integration excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, integration management, or related fields, preferably in the retail energy sector.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial performance monitoring, and risk management.
- Exceptional leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex large scale integration projects involving multiple stakeholder systems and operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- In-depth knowledge of the retail energy industry, including regulatory and market dynamics preferred.
