We're looking for strong technical leaders with backgrounds in distributed systems and storage to help build a highly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment on a massive scale. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Responsibilities
As a service leader, you will:
- Manage the design, development of high-performance, distributed key-value store as part of Object Storage Metadata Services
- Collaborate with your team, peers, and senior leadership to identify requirements, coordinate delivery, and integrate solutions for new features and functionality.
- Help define service strategy and roadmap.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership.
- Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive engineering team.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience designing, delivering, and operating large scale distributed systems in production environments.
- 10+ years experience managing or leading the design, delivery, and operation of large scale distributed systems. Background in Cloud Storage and/or metadata is highly sought.
- Demonstrable success mentoring and growing junior engineers to senior levels.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, databases, storage and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with build automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment tools
