Description:

Lead transition of products from the NPI process to full-scale commercial production
  • Understand processes, materials, and lab analyses defined in NPIs/TTMs
  • Collaborate with the Formulation Development team during the development process to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, safety, procurement, and toll management to ensure they understand and are capable of new processes, materials, and analyses for NPIs/TTMs
  • Lead or participate in on-site pilot and/or initial full-scale manufacturing of new formulations. Remain involved until stabilized.
  • Coordinate and perform pilot batch formulation with support of development chemists and plant operations
  • Assist other functions (Portfolio, Development, Marketing, Supply Chain) through the TTM process
  • Administer and improve the TTM workflow and maintain a TTM status dashboard
  • Travel: up to 25% to other manufacturing plants, tollers, and suppliers

New Product Scale-Up - Lead scale-up of new formulations by coordinating pilot plant production (if needed) and first full-scale production batches. Coordinate between various Supply Chain and Portfolio functions to ensure on-schedule production of batches. Serve as on-site leader for the batch formulation and testing, with the support of R&D, Production, Planning, Quality, and HSE. - 40%

Planning and Startup of New Manufacturing Equipment and/or Sites - Identify new products that require new manufacturing or testing equipment. Assist manufacturing, quality, and tolling management in identifying how to support the requirements. Assist manufacturing and quality in first-time manufacturing of new and existing formulations at new sites (internal and tolling). - 20%

Transfer-to-Manufacturing (TTM) Process Administration - Manage and improve the TTM process and software tool. Provide assistance to initiators and improvers to keep the process moving. Create item requests and BOM construction for NPIs as required. Develop and maintain TTM dashboards and KPIs to assist communication and improvement. - 20%

Support Formulation Development Team - Support formulation team at the plants. Ensure Supply Chain and Operations requirements and constraints are incorporated into formulation development. Provide assistance with location of manufacturing information and obtaining raw materials for product development activities. - 10%

Pilot Plant Management - Serve as the overall owner of pilot plants, ensuring we have desired equipment and performing or coordinating required pilot production. Lead, along with Project Management, design and implementation of new pilot plants. - 10%

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labour across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $98,500 per year in our lowest geographic market to $136,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
