The City of New Hope, located 8 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis, with a population of approximately 22,000, is recruiting for police officers who are committed to building relationships with and serving our community. Candidates must be team-oriented, passionate about serving others, and have very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
City leadership and residents are very supportive of law enforcement. The department operates from a very modern facility which opened in 2019 with excellent space to facilitate all aspects of policing and community engagement. Potential assignments include community relations, drug task force, field training officer, investigator, K-9, SWAT, school resource officer and a traffic unit.
Qualifications and experience will be considered for lateral transfers.
