Key qualifications include proven experience in managing companies, strong operations expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive a strategic, entrepreneurial and long-range plan, serving the objective for market diversification for the company, continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and the development of more standardized products and components, to offset the volatility and performance risks associated with large one-off projects
- Provide operational insight and influence in a strategic, analytical and long-range planning role, serving as a strategic resource. The objective is to develop strategic initiatives for market diversification for the company's technical expertise and the development of more standardized products and components to offset the volatility and performance risks associated with large one-off projects
- Transform a reactive operations mentality and provide structure, focus and a new outlook to those functions. Develop and implement processes relating to the overall operations process to reduce costs, increase quality, and create a workflow to improve meeting of customer schedules.
- Develop short- and longer-range operations plans, including the development of operating and capital budgets, obtaining their approval, implementing them and monitoring them to ensure compliance.
- Manage all company processes and operations including sales, project management, engineering, supply chain, production, field installations, quality assurance, and administrative functions.
- Oversight of day-to-day operations, creating of proposals, manufacturing of products and systems of the highest quality at projected costs within agreed to schedules.
- Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment, including hiring, compensation, discipline, appraisal, and development of employees. It is anticipated that continual growth will occur, continuing to increase the need for new people.
- Establish and maintain effective communications throughout the company as well as towards the holding company's senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing companies or large business units manufacturing capital equipment.
- Strong operations experience with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Service / Installation functions.
- General knowledge of strategy development, sales and administrative functions.
- Track record in managing large projects.
- Ideally, experience with vacuum technology and / or thin film technology.
- Entrepreneurial thinking and a proactive approach to business challenges.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective teams.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
