Through a mix of breaking news, enterprise reporting, and data-driven analysis, you'll explore how tax policies influence business strategies, investor decisions, and individual financial choices. You'll dig into the debates unfolding in Congress, the White House, corporate boardrooms, and on K Street and translate them into sharp, accessible stories that shape the national conversation around fiscal policy.

Salary Range = 90000 - 120000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.

What You'll Do:
- Break news with urgency and depth, staying ahead of the curve on key policy shifts
- Build and maintain strong sourcing networks across government, Congress, lobbying firms, investors and companies
- Deliver authoritative reporting that explains how changes in tax policy change the flow of money globally and impact people, the economy and businesses
- Monitor and analyze key economic indicators and data sets related to taxes, the federal budget, and public debt
- Produce original enterprise pieces
- Collaborate with teams across Bloomberg, including visuals, data, video, and audio
You'll Need to Have:
- 4+ years of journalism experience
- Proven track record of breaking news and delivering high-impact enterprise journalism
- Deep understanding of U.S. economic and fiscal policy, or a demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly on complex policy areas
- Strong sourcing skills and experience cultivating trusted relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and engagingly to a broad audience
- A collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional editorial teams
