As a Senior Systems Engineer supporting Zero Trust implementation, you'll play a key role in modernizing identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) frameworks for mission-critical systems. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to define architecture, support cloud transformation, assess technologies, and drive adoption of Zero Trust principles across a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your work will help safeguard sensitive data, strengthen authentication protocols, and shape the future of cyber-resilient infrastructure.

Here's what your day-to-day might include:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be the go-to technical expert driving the strategy, architecture, and implementation of Zero Trust solutions. Your day may include:

• Collaborating with ICAM teams to define technical requirements and develop system architectures in alignment with Zero Trust frameworks

• Supporting documentation development for system releases, user guides, installation steps, SOPs, frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies

• Performing technology assessments and identifying improvements to current ICAM capabilities and cloud-based security environments

• Researching and advising on infrastructure scalability, cloud platforms (AWS), and identity federation protocols such as OAuth and SAML

• Supporting system integration and requirements tracking with tools like Confluence and JIRA

• Working directly with software developers and testers on sprint planning, design iterations, and test activities

• Leading outreach and communication efforts to support cross-team coordination and external partner engagement

• Troubleshooting issues across multiple technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, JSON, XML, Nifi, REST APIs, and more

• Preparing and presenting briefings to senior-level stakeholders and contributing to program review materials

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as a Systems Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university

• Five (5) additional years of relevant software engineering experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree

• Clearance:TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Citizenship:Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Proven experience providing senior systems engineering support within Zero Trust, ICAM, or cloud security environments

• Strong background in developing and documenting architectures, CONOPS, and system designs

• Ability to work with multiple technologies including:

• REST, JSON, XML

• PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle/MySQL

• AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi

• Identity management protocols such as OAuth and SAML

• Experience with systems engineering processes including requirements analysis, system reviews, and architecture definition

• Familiarity with EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI standards

• Experience with Confluence and JIRA for agile development tracking and documentation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong troubleshooting and Tier-2 level support experience

• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment

Desired:

• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

• Experience developing program review and outreach materials

• Agile or DevSecOps methodology experience

• Strong customer service skills and an analytical mindset for problem-solving

Compensation Range: $194,000.00 - $256,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate's background and suitability for the role.
