Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer - Mechanical Systems (Bearings, Gears, Seals, Lubrication Systems)

Engine Systems and Component Analysis (ESCA) is a Center of Excellence responsible and accountable for the engineering design, analysis, development, certification and support of structural and mechanical systems components for all Aerospace power system products. Honeywell is hiring an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer.
Key responsibilities:
Honeywell has an opening for an engineer in the Mechanical Systems Engineering group responsible for the design and analysis of bearings, gears and splines, seals, and lubrications systems for propulsion engines, auxiliary power units and engine gearboxes.
The scope of this position includes using state-of-the-art software tools and methods and supporting Technical Excellence Teams to capture and publish analysis practices and guidelines.
The position may involve test rig design, operation, and data collection and analysis.
Analytical results may be presented in design reviews and will be recorded in appropriate documentation to meet program deliverables and requirements.
Applicant must work effectively with design teams, global support and chief engineers.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
You Must Have:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the mechanical systems areas:

o Bearings

o Air & oil seals
o Lubrication systems
Familiarity with mechanical systems for gas turbine engines
Familiarity with flow system finite-element modeling and analysis software
Strong oral, written and persuasive communication skills are required to interact with engineering teams and other disciplines.
Ability to work with teams to meet expectations of internal customers.
Under minimal supervision, ensure that tasks are appropriately defined, supported and achieved in a timely manner.
Experience with ANSYS FEM software is a plus.
Experience using Excel, MATLAB, and other tools to solve engineering problems is a plus.
Familiarity with mechanical component rig testing is a plus.
Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and application is a plusAdditional Information
