Functional Description:
  • Performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks in one or more business support functions within the organization, including contracts, facilities planning, finance, logistics, property management, purchasing and/or security.
  • May perform tasks related to the control of company and/or government property assigned to the organization.
  • May perform facilities planning activities, including coordinating the storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment. May act as a facility security officer to ensure compliance with company, customer and government security regulations and procedures.
  • May maintain financial databases, analyze data, and develop reports. Participates in special projects as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Journeyman Facilities Manager, you are responsible for providing the availability and readiness of facilities that support the personnel and work performed in support of the strategic airborne command post aircraft. The position would be responsible directly to the Head of Operations in managing all aspects of facility readiness and compliance. Perform non-routine administrative and analytical tasks supporting physical security and facility operations management in one or more business support functions within the organization.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks supporting physical security and facility operations management.
  • Reviews plans and design/proposals for multi-year major repair projects, facilities improvements, and Military Construction (MILCON) projects to modify or initiate new projects.
  • Conducts facilities planning activities, including coordinating the storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment.
  • Acts as facility physical security officer to ensure compliance with customer and government security regulations and procedures.
  • Maintains databases, analyzes data, and develops reports.
  • Plans, schedules, and executes complex movements of people and equipment to accomplish facility construction, remodeling, and improvements.
  • Develops, executes, analyzes, and reviews facility plans. Inform customer of potential issues or problems in effectively achieving stated objectives. Recommend options.
  • Represents PMA-271 in facilities meetings with associated end users to obtain comprehensive requirements and facility plans of action.
  • Performs physical security officer functions such as reviewing and updating security logs and associated databases.
  • Performs facility operations management by managing ticketing applications, conducting safety inspections, and lockout / tagout equipment.
  • Completes periodic facility inspection checklists.
  • Resolves other related program Security issues.
  • Maintains compliance with the US Government security regulations and directives.
  • Participates in compliance assessment reviews and perform self-inspections to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Identifies deficiencies and implement corrective action.

Required Experience:

At least three (3) years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description.

Desired Experience:
  • Experience using IBONS, MAXIMO, Seating Tools, and ESAMS.
  • An understanding and working knowledge of NISPOM, DoDM 5200.01 Vol. 1-3, DODI 5200.02 and DoDI 5200.48 security standards.
  • An understanding and working knowledge of OPSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, and PHYSEC.

Education Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college.

OR
  • Associate degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

OR
  • Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
