General Summary

This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of a wide variety of complex and diverse duties involving the application of standard accounting procedures within the area of Payroll in manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Accountabilities
  • Analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise computation, documentation and processing of payroll wages and deductions for employees to ensure accurate payments and reporting.
  • Coordinate the preparation and maintaining of disbursements, reports and statistics for government agencies and others to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Enforce established policies and procedures for the payroll function to ensure internal controls are in place.
  • Suggest improvements in processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide impeccable overall customer service to exceed customer expectations.
  • Assists in the technical development of staff to provide growth opportunities.


Education
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent business related bachelor's degree with equivalent accounting course work
  • CPP certification a plus


Work Experience
  • At least 5 years of related payroll experience.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Strong technical knowledge of commonly-used payroll concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to use independent judgment in analyzing situations and making payroll related decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of JD Edwards, Excel and Word
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead and teach

Base Salary Range:
$73,946.00 - $110,920.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
