Job Description
Regional Hospital Administrator (RHA)for Central State Hospital Milledgeville Georgia. Under administrative direction of DBHDD's Director, Division of Hospital Services, the RHA is responsible overseeing all operations of the facility and associated programs, to include healthcare delivery, facility operations, financial management and personal management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The RHA will collaboratively lead an Interdisciplinary Team to:
Direct and be accountable for the delivery of healthcare and treatment services within the hospital and its associated community-based programs. Monitor service delivery and outcomes and identify opportunities to improve the provision of services. Coordinate with DBHDD Leadership to ensure service delivery and outcomes are effective, efficient and quality in nature, and compliant with departmental, state and federal regulatory agencies and certification bodies.
Implement and sustain CSH's strategic and operational plan and develop/modify hospital policies and protocols to enhance/sustain quality service delivery and performance. In collaboration with DBHDD leadership, establish/monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPl's) and assess system performance, identify gaps/issues and propose/drive solutions.
Oversee a diverse range of direct care, programmatic, operational and support functions, activities and staff.
Administer DBHDD departmental policies and ensure compliance with applicable departmental, state, federal and regulatory/compliance bodies (The Joint Commission or TJC, etc.).
Create/maintain a high-performance learning environment characterized by positive leadership and teamwork.
Work collaboratively with the clinical director and medical leadership of the hospital in the provision of high quality clinical and medical services to the individuals we serve.
Build and maintain key internal and stakeholder relationships.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of management/supervisory experience in health care services OR Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of management/supervisory experience in health care services
OR bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years of management/supervisory experience in health care services
OR Two years of experience at the lower-level Sr Mgr, Hlth Care (HCM013) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
An advanced degree in a related field (Psychology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration).
At least five years of behavioral health hospital management experience, with at least three years at the CEO level or equivalent
Significant experience leading, managing and coordinating forensic behavioral health services
Demonstrated experience improving behavioral health services at a CEO level in a large complex behavioral health organization
Familiarity of, and successful experience with, addressing regulatory and compliance issues involving TJC, CMS, etc.
Demonstrated commitment to competency restoration and the concept of recovery
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative solutions to complex organization/system-wide issues
Demonstrated understanding of the civil rights of institutionalized people
Ability to build relationships, credibility, and trust
