Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Billing Coordinators, fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Billing Operations: Oversee the accurate and timely generation of customer invoices based on contracts, purchase orders, and services provided, ensuring adherence to company policies and pricing structures.
  • Account Management: Review and address billing inquiries, discrepancies, and disputes promptly, ensuring clear communication with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve billing processes, recommending and implementing improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant billing regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations. Prepare and present detailed billing and financial reports to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with departments such as Sales, Service, Parts and Finance to ensure seamless communication and coordination of billing-related matters.
  • System Management: Oversee the functionality billing software, ensuring optimal use and leading any necessary system updates or upgrades.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Support the finance team during the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all billing-related transactions are accurately recorded.

Requirements/Qualifications (KSAs)
  • 5 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance, with at least 2 years in leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proficient knowledge of billing systems, financial reporting, and accounts receivable management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of industry-specific billing regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external clients.
