Miami Public Schools is accepting applications for an Information Technology Director (IT Director).

Qualifications:

? A high level of technology interest, experience and understanding that encompasses basic computer
repair, network design and maintenance, and a well-rounded list of software abilities.
? Managerial skills including office and personnel management.
? Work experience as determined by the board.
? Earned bachelor's degree. Post graduate degree preferred.
? Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
? Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or resident alien status.
? Cannot be related to any currently seated board of education member within the second degree of affinity
or consanguinity.

Reports To:
Superintendent or Superintendent's designee

Position Goal:
The goal of the IT Director is to create and support an information technology environment that enhances the
ability of the Miami Public Schools community to teach, enhance and evaluate their curriculum. To maintain fully
operational, customer service oriented computing and multimedia environments that facilitate the campus
community's access to instructional tools and academic resources.

Responsibilities:
? Assist with the selection and procurement of all technology components.
? Maintain a technology inventory.
? Provide guidance and maintenance of a technology work order process.
? Provide leadership in developing goals and district-wide curriculum for technology use.
? Create a staff environment that works as a cohesive team towards one common goal.
? Maintain the daily workings of the office.
? Provide and/or identity professional development needs of administration, faculty
? and staff concerning technology.
? Research and pilot new services.
? Oversee the existing student information service (Current: Power School).
? Provide for the maintenance of the school web site.
? Assumes all other responsibilities assigned by Superintendent and/or Immediate Supervisor.

Terms of employment:
At-will for the first year. After the first year, employment considered in accordance with Oklahoma

Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy regarding
support personnel.
