Position Overview

Join our fast-growing steel fabricator startup with $5M+ annual revenue as a Steel Estimator. Help accelerate our growth and become the preferred steel-fabrication shop for infrastructure companies across the U.S.

We seek gritty go-getters who thrive in a small team and can mentor less experienced estimators. While in-person candidates are preferred, highly qualified remote applicants will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
• Conduct takeoffs to determine material quantities and types.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand requirements and constraints.
• Utilize cost estimation software and tools.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and material prices for competitive pricing.
• Assist in budget management and procurement processes.
• Support supply chain management in sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural steel estimating experience.
• Proficiency in Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, and/or Etakeoff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
