The Compute Repair team's mission is to enable OCI customers to achieve their objectives by minimizing downtime and interruptions, allow them to focus on their business, not maintaining systems.
Over the next 3 years cloud compute will continue to grow with increasing datacenter footprints and continued growth of AI workloads. The only way to succeed in this growth environment, while keeping costs reasonable, is to scale through technology. We envision a world where fleet health is managed by automated agents, continually learning and improving. Maintenance will still need to happen, but the number of disruptive customer events where we didn't anticipate or plan the event, will be minimized. The maintenance process will be transparent to customers, enabling them to tailor changes around their needs. We will be proactive and transparent.
As a Senior Software Development Manager in the Compute Repair organization, you will build a team from the ground up, develop talent, and own key components of the repair flow. Your work will enable customers to focus on their business rather than system maintenance by minimizing downtime and interruptions.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coach engineering teams to deliver successful products and services.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation within the organization.
- Launching new cloud services and establishing operational excellence.
- Establishing and stimulating software development standards and processes along with best practices for the team
- Defining new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization.
- Sets Goals and Expectations for performance and works with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of management experience in enterprise software
- 7+ years of experience with applications development with 2+ years in large scale distributed applications / web services/ systems design
- Proficient at programming in C/C++ (preferred), Rust (preferred), and Java
- Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fields
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of management experience
- Prior development experience within Cloud Infrastructure or low level systems engineering
- Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields
