The Material Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the warehouse inventory is accurate and sufficient for demand. This position involves conducting detailed analyses of warehouse inventory processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing warehouse plans. The Material Specialist collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock and to address inventory issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. (Inventory Expert, Detail Oriented, and Organization Skills)

Work Hours: 7AM to 3:30PM or 8AM to 4PM EST

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Inventory Expert, Detail Oriented, and Organization Skills
  • Inventory Experience - attention to detail
  • Receiving and Inspecting Inventory
  • Storing and Organizing Inventory
  • Maintaining Inventory Records
  • Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of inventory
  • Fulfilling/Pulling Orders and Shipping
  • Handling Returns and Exchanges
  • Ensuring Warehouse Safety
  • Operating Forklifts and Other Equipment
  • Collaborating with Team Members and Supervisors
  • Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization of Warehouse
  • Monitoring and Maintaining Inventory Quality and Condition
  • Communicating with Suppliers and Vendors for Inventory Replenishment
  • Identifying and Reporting Inventory Damage or Loss
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures for Warehouse Tasks and Processes
  • Adhering to Company Policies and Procedures for Inventory Management
  • Contributing to Continuous Improvement of Warehouse Operations.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Develop and implement inventory control processes and procedures
  • Provide training and support to warehouse staff on new processes or systems
  • Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies or issues


Quality Control
  • Detail oriented - attention to detail
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Investigate and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies


Project Management
  • Participate in warehouse related projects, such as process improvements
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure project success
  • Communicate inventory updates and escalate any issues to management as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Organizational Skills
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prolonged Standing, walking, bending and repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds


Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Salary range:
$72,600.00 - $116,200.00
