- Setting clear expectations for team members, including defining what they should do at each phase of the project.
- Working closely with the EHR Program Director and other project managers/team managers to coordinate activities.
- Ensuring that the business community is engaged in the project.
- dvising and coaching team members by providing guidance on project issues, key success factors of the project, and lessons learned.
- Sharing with team members the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities.
- Reinforcing the importance of the project together with the EHR program executives and the Program Director, and providing consistent communication to the project team.
- Organizing resources within the organization.
- Motivating and showing appreciation for the team.
- ppropriately matching team member skills to team responsibilities.
- Managing the project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks.
- ssisting as a support contact for revenue cycle.
- Identifying and troubleshooting issues.
- Guiding workflow design, building and testing the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software.
- Serving as a liaison between organizational needs and Epic implementation staff.
- Maintaining regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
- Working with Epic representatives, the business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs in regard to the project deliverables and timeline.
- Developing an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows.
- Participating in training and working with end users.
- Reporting and reviewing the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
- Holding weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones.
- Developing and maintaining all required State CIO and DHHS PMO project documentation in coordination with other EHR PMO PM resources.
