Job Title: Industrial Hygiene Lead Company: Global Leading Mining Company Location : Arizona Team Size : 10 in H&S Salary: Experience Dependant - $100k - $170k (Inclusive of Bonus) Reporting to: Health & Safety Manager Key Responsibilities Perform detailed evaluations of workplace environments to identify chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards. Design and oversee the implementation of strategies to control or eliminate identified health risks Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, and ISO 45001 standards. Oversee qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments, including air sampling and noise monitoring, to evaluate employee exposure levels. Review and approve the use of chemicals on-site, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal in compliance with safety standards. Lead investigations into workplace incidents related to health hazards, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Develop and deliver training programs on industrial hygiene practices, hazard recognition, and the proper use of protective equipment. Work closely with engineering, operations, and environmental teams to integrate health and safety considerations into all aspects of operations. Provide leadership and guidance to junior health and safety personnel Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial hygiene across Mining or heavy industrial operations Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, exposure assessment techniques, and regulatory requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in report writing and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
