Overview

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Sr. Finance Manager.

This important role plays a lead in managing the financial risk profile of Virginia Housing through the design of its mortgage loan products, the management of the assets and liabilities on its balance sheet, the determination of interest rates on mortgage loan programs, and the management of its cash flow. Lead the acquisition of external capital as necessary to fund homeownership loan programs, including the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable securities and the securitization of loans

To be successful in this role you must possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, math, engineering, or relevant degree and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Many years' experience in general business field.
  • Several years' experience (6+ preferred) in mortgage finance or lending to include the analysis of complex commercial transactions, managing legal risks, and negotiating agreements and financial instruments.
  • Proficiency with the mechanics of Mortgage Revenue Bonds (MRBs) issuance, maintenance and compliance and experience with DBC Housing is highly desirable.
  • Experience with pooling, trading and/or settlement of Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) is a plus, or at a minimum, working knowledge of Fixed Income sercurities and their associated risk metrics.
  • Ability to identifying key financial, legal and other risks, and summarize key legal and business issues and alternatives for executive decisions.
  • Excellent judgment concerning areas of responsibility and take ownership of assignments, activities, decisions and results.

Hiring Range: $141,262 - $183,641
