JOB SUMMARY:
Good Culture is seeking a dynamic marketing leader with strong strategic thinking, digital marketing expertise and creative and analytic capabilities. We're looking for the Director, Marketing and Communications to drive marketing communications strategy and support our growth and evolution as we drive household penetration, brand advocacy and brand love. This position requires strong strategic leadership, effective team management, campaign development, and experience with paid media. You will lead the overarching marketing strategy, brand storytelling and the execution of 360 campaigns and activities across paid and owned channels in partnership with our in-house design team, brand team and external agency partners.

We're looking for the Director, Marketing and Communications to drive marketing communications strategy and support our growth and evolution as we drive household penetration, brand advocacy and brand love. This position requires strong strategic leadership, effective team management, campaign development, and experience with paid media. You will lead the overarching marketing strategy, brand storytelling and the execution of 360 campaigns and activities across paid and owned channels in partnership with our in-house design team, brand team and external agency partners.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own, evolve and implement a comprehensive marketing and content strategy across paid and owned channels.
- Drive category-leading communications and content leveraged across Good Culture's owned digital properties (social, email, website, etc.); ensure consistency, alignment, and integration across diverse touchpoints.
- Curate an innovative influencer and creator content strategy to keep Good Culture top of mind and position the brand as a culture leader and driver.
- Partner with the Chief Growth Officer to build media budget and direct strategy to the media agency for brand media. Manage and allocate budget to effectively manage ROI.
- Partner with media buying agency and key internal stakeholders to conceptualize and execute paid media campaigns.
- Directly manage the Digital Marketing Manager to drive annual, quarterly, and monthly digital marketing campaigns, including content strategy, planning, and execution across all platforms.
- Support the Marketing Associate on owned social management across all platforms.
- Partner with the Sr. Art Director, broader Marketing Team and Agency partners to drive the creation, execution, and measurement of a diverse range of content to enhance brand presence, drive engagement, bring in new consumers and sustain the virality of the Good Culture brand.
- In partnership with the Brand Team, ensure consistency in brand messaging, visual identity, and tone throughout all advertising campaigns and digital touchpoints.
- Define and track key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaign and content performance in driving business results. Track and monitor the effectiveness of campaigns (i.e. impressions, relevance and influence) and provide actionable and insightful reports.
- Support critical product launches and priority brand messages by providing strategic digital recommendations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and effective marketing approach across all channels and touchpoints.
- Stay update on marketing and industry trends and technologies; maintain knowledge of the dynamic digital ecosystem (search, social, influencer/UGC, streaming, native, display, etc.) as well as other marketing tactics (OOH, Experiential, etc.) and direct how channels work together for optimal paid media plans.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of experience in marketing with a strong emphasis on digital marketing, campaign development and media with food and/or consumer products companies
- Experience in high growth brands, preferably working for both a large CPG company and a small entrepreneurial food company
- Track record of successfully managing multiple complex priorities within demanding timeframes
- Experience leading agency partners and internal marketing and creative teams
- Ability to interpret data and modify strategies accordingly
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including presenting to executive leadership and board
- Strong cross functional and collaboration skills
