We have an immediate opening for an experienced IT Director to join our team in Lebanon, Ohio. The IT Director is responsible for the management of the IT functions at the local level and demonstrates leadership for IT staff and its customers. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. Any solutions proposed should attempt to first leverage the global infrastructure, then be enhancements or developments when that is not possible. The role requires good judgement, a broad range of business, management, technical, and communication skills. Position has a solid and dashed line reporting structure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyzes the needs presented by the business and recommends solutions in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leverages existing infrastructure and systems to fulfil the business needs.
  • Proactively leads efforts to improve IT processes with new hardware, software, or systems.
  • Actively manages the IT projects and change management.
  • Validates requirements with the business prior to technical solution.
  • Directs and prioritizes the workload of IT staff that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Maintains software licensing as well as equipment maintenance contracts.
  • Directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes.
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations.
  • Manages the training programs for IT staff and internal customers.
  • Responsible for developing / maintaining information systems department budget.
  • Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.
  • Communicates and coordinates local activities with USA and global affiliates. Any other responsibilities as directed by management.

  • Management will support and facilitate education, training and action within their teams to effectively and adequately implement environmental policies, procedures and practices, as well as promote continual improvement consistent with environmental objectives.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Preferred degrees are in management information systems or computer science.
  • Some technical or project management certification(s) preferred.
  • In addition to a degree, seven plus (7+) years of experience working with a process-manufacturing environment in the capacity of a manager or consultant.
  • Understanding of SAP and business systems in a global footprint.
  • Minimum of five plus (5+) years experience with MS Windows Server & Workstation, Citrix, Exchange, Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in software hardware installation and configuration.
  • Experience managing IS projects.
  • Strong LAN/WAN networking skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate written or verbal instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Management, supervisory and customer service skills a must.
  • Will provide leadership to managers and employees to increase alignment with company values and goals.
