The A/O I Senior Project Manager will:
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards;
  • Coordinate people, resources, timelines, proactively manage risks and ensure clear communication and team alignment;
  • Act as a critical link between stakeholders and the team;
  • Translate high-level goals into actionable plans;
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and resolve obstacles to maintain project momentum.


How does it get done?

The A/O I Senior Project Manager is responsible for:
  • Strategic planning and oversight while working closely with executive leadership to align The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), The Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), and The Low Income Home Energy assistance Program (LIHEAP) policies with the state's broader health care goals;
  • Policy and program coordination ensuring program policies align with federal and state regulations while effectively meeting the needs of beneficiaries;
  • Data analytics and reporting coordination focusing on leveraging data to drive program improvements, monitoring service utilization, and fulfilling mandatory reporting requirements;
  • Quality and compliance coordination ensuring program integrity by implementing quality assurance measures and monitoring compliance with federal and state guidelines.

  • Income Support Division (ISD) Staff;
  • Citizens of New Mexico.


Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate has experience:
  • Managing program oversight;
  • Ensuring strategic alignment with policy, data analytics and compliance;
  • Managing Performance monitoring, resource allocation and cross-functional collaboration.


Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain valid Driver's license.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
