Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to support the development of pipeline programs, including monoclonal antibodies and other biologic modalities against viral and bacterial targets.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $80,653 to $120,980. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. Accountabilities
Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to support the development of pipeline programs, including monoclonal antibodies and other biologic modalities against viral and bacterial targets.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of experience in a laboratory setting, ideally in the biopharmaceutical industry; OR Master's Degree with 3-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, ideally in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to perform in vitro assays to evaluate biologics, such as binding (ELISA, biolayer interferometry, etc.) and functional (virus neutralization, bacterial killing, etc.) assays.
- Experience in carrying out experiments in small animal models of disease is required.
- Experience in executing efficacy studies in small animal models of bacterial and/or viral infection, including collection of tissues and enumeration of bacterial or viral burdens
- Techniques of interest include intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intraperitoneal, and intranasal routes of administration.
- Experience working with lab automation, such as liquid handlers, is a plus
- Flow cytometry experience is a plus
- The candidate must be dedicated to maintaining high laboratory standards with regard to safety and quality, and must possess good organization, record keeping, and communication skills.
- Must be able to understand, conduct, and interpret results of technically challenging experiments with minimum supervision.
