Pay Rate: Min $98,467.20 Mid $123,094.40Position Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Ambulatory and Lakeland Surgical Center revenue cycle functions, including the development of policies and procedures which promote strong internal controls, maximize cash collections and compliance, and promote patient satisfaction. Responsible charge processing, claim submission and processing, payment processing, collections and accounts receivable management, denial management, reporting of results, analysis of revenue cycle metrics and focusing on ways to improve revenue capture and collection rates, concurrent and retrospective auditing of patient accounts, proper coding, customer service relative to revenue cycle, training and development relative to revenue cycle, and all other revenue cycle management activities. Responsible for the coordination of revenue cycle operations with other key departments such as Managed Care, HIMS, Finance, and IT.

- Standard Work: Director LRHPG Ambulatory/Lakeland Surgical Center Revenue Cycle
- Develop the strategy for direct operations of the entire Ambulatory Billing and Lakeland Regional Surgical Billing, Revenue Integrity, Denials and Follow-up. Works with System Engineers to optimize and implement system improvements for charge capture and collection rates. Establish baseline measurements including provider's financial and revenue cycle performance and create applicable benchmarks to gather the information necessary to provide recommendations for the following areas: Charge processing, Charge Description Master, Billing, Insurance AR (Follow up and Denials), Credits and Refund Requests, and Payment Posting
- Responsible for assuring the maximum performance of revenue cycle, including accurate and timely processing of billing, payment posting, account recovery, revenue integrity, and customer service. Analyzes the current revenue cycle operations and focuses on ways to improve revenue capture and collection rates. Collaborates with Registration, Financial Counselor, Authorization and Billing Managers and others as needed in making revenue cycle operations improvements
- Works with Management and Staff to address identified deficiencies as part of a coordinated effort to obtain measurable improvements within the revenue cycle, identifies improvement strategies and assists with multidisciplinary collaborations.
- Promotes, directs, and coordinates the development and implementation of performance improvement and quality improvement activities for the Ambulatory Division and Lakeland Surgical Center revenue cycle functions.
- Ultimate responsibility for accurate and valid account write-offs, refunds, miscellaneous cash adjustments, and departmental expense vouchers, in accordance with the Ambulatory policy and contractual terms.
- Ensures compliance with Ambulatory and Lakeland Surgical Center policies and directives, and Medicare rules and regulations. Supports the Compliance Officer in the investigation of any issues of non-compliance and oversees the implementation of appropriate corrective regulatory procedures.
- Ensures internal controls and review mechanisms are in place for key revenue cycle processes and ensures that policies and procedures that maximize internal control are implemented and followed
- Develops and participates in educational activities to communicate new procedures to staff and other Ambulatory and Surgical Center departments.
- Ensures a high level of customer service for all related parties, including patients, physicians and other departments, with specific patient satisfaction performance goals.

- Physician Billing Experience including claims and billing, and denials management, along with hospital professional fee billing knowledge. ACS facility billing experience and knowledge. Outpatient hospital facility billing knowledge and experience.
