Description:

As a Sr. Application Developer for Jazwares, the role will be responsible for Application enhancements, testing and mentoring junior developers. Manage lifecycle of applications in the application portfolio from initial release to its final retirement. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all applications enhancement requests are prioritized, and requirements documents, architecture and security standards are met.

What you will do
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand user needs; drafts initial proposals and designs of applications to meet these needs.
  • Assesses feasibility of design in accordance with security and architectural guidelines
  • Develops code and designs applications based on user specifications.
  • Modifies existing applications to correct errors or improve performance.
  • Monitors and assists with application testing and validation procedures and programming.
  • Monitors and assists with application installation; ensures applications operate within established specifications.
  • Gathers and evaluates user feedback and modifies applications for better usability.
  • Designs databases for specific applications.
  • Determines required system performance standards and hardware configurations based on client specifications, budget, security needs, and other parameters.
  • Collaborates with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems to support applications.
  • Advises on application maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in in computer science. Software engineering, or other related field preferred
  • 5+ years experience with Product Information Management System, Digital Asset Management System, and other Enterprise Application administration and enhancement experience (i.e. Salsify PIM, Bynder DAM etc.)
  • 3+ Years Expertise in working with business stakeholders on gathering requirements, prioritizing enhancements requests, design, development and implement enhancements
  • 3+ years of Application Development experience
  • Experience with system architecture preferred
  • Continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) experience preferred.
  • Application and Data Integration pattern understanding (API, ETL, ELT etc.) DevOps
  • Knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Applications.
  • Advanced understanding of application development methodology (Waterfall or Agile).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Multi-lingual a plus.

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
