Overview

HireRight is seeking a Senior Product Designer to transform customer needs into innovative and user-friendly designs. As a Senior Product Designer at HireRight, you will be a creative advocate for users, effectively communicating your ideas and insights while collaborating with product managers, marketers, and developers. This role encompasses the entire user experience lifecycle, including research, journey mapping, concept ideation, prototyping, creating detailed graphical user experience design solutions, validation research, analytics review, and ensuring cohesiveness that drives revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern design principles and user-centered design methodologies to create exceptional responsive web and mobile experiences.
  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Define, create, and communicate the experience direction using appropriate tools such as sketches, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and animations.
  • Lead every stage of the product design lifecycle, including research, ideation, low-fidelity design iteration, high-fidelity design iteration, animation, and exporting assets for developers.
  • Collaborate with product managers, marketers, business managers, and developers to define and deliver features.
  • Plan and execute research activities, including tool and method selection, participant recruitment, conducting sessions, and synthesizing findings, with support from the product design team.
  • Create effective and thoughtful product solutions by considering quantitative and qualitative data, behavioral analytics, customer feedback, and research findings.
  • Design solutions that drive revenue and improve retention.
  • Bring inspiring and creative ideas to an energetic and collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide mentorship for junior product designers.


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience working in a startup, progressive B2B, or consumer-based company.
  • Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
  • Experience leading the design of a product within a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Competence in using current UX tools and software, including prototyping tools, user testing platforms, and design systems.
  • Familiarity with agile project management and the ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback.
  • Proven experience designing mobile-first experiences, as well as responsive and/or Progressive Web Application product experiences.
  • A clear understanding of usability, user-centered design, accessibility, and web standards.
  • Proven experience designing for ancillary product touchpoints such as email, text, and chat-based interactions.
  • Highly proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Principle, and Lottie.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates expertise in mobile design and problem-solving in various phases of user-centered design.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Degree in a Design-related field.
  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Deep understanding of user needs and the ability to design with the user's perspective in mind.
  • Expertise in designing interactive elements and user flows.
  • Staying updated with the latest UX trends, such as AI integration, extended reality, and no-code tools.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify user pain points and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills.
  • Successful management of stakeholders.
