The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

The Maintenance Manager for our facility in East Peoria, IL will be responsible for supervising employees and outside Contractors' workforce including assigning jobs, monitoring workloads, providing material and equipment and assistance in determining when, where, and how work is to be completed. The Maintenance Manager will provide Operations with project status updates, discuss priorities, determine overtime needs and shifts manpower to meet scheduling needs.

  • Work Schedule: The working hours for this position can be on either 2nd or 3rd shift and fall between the hours of 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM, Monday to Friday.

What You Will Do:
  • Supervise or manage a work unit of primarily salaried or hourly employees, where planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reviewing work of subordinates is required.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and update status.
  • Responsible for expense budgets and personnel issues in the area, including performance evaluations or subordinates.
  • Establishes and monitors general policies and guidelines for projects under their control to ensure specific management goals are met and desired results are achieved.
  • Impacts key quality goals including continuous improvement, delivery timeliness, equipment accuracy, operations efficiency, cost savings, process capability, part quality, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.


What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
  • Talent Management: Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes; ability to lead, motivate, evaluate, and reward employees at the workplace.
  • Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
  • Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
  • Production Training: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.

  • Previous experience within an Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Maintenance related role.
  • Previous leadership experience with direct supervisory experience of a team of individuals.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
