Position Summary:
The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a visionary Vice President, Brand & Content to lead our brand strategy, content creation, and storytelling across all platforms. This role will elevate how the Orioles show up in the world-ensuring that every fan touchpoint reflects the heart, pride, and energy of Baltimore, our fans and our organization. This leader will oversee brand development, content production, digital storytelling, creative direction, and in-park entertainment, ensuring our players and fans are celebrated as heroes on every stage.

The anticipated salary for this role is $170,000-$200,000 annually plus bonus eligibility depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Brand Leadership:
- Own and evolve the Orioles' brand strategy, ensuring it resonates with both core fans and new audiences.
- Steward a brand voice that reflects the culture of Baltimore, the grit of our team, and the joy of being an O's fan.
- Serve as point person for the Orioles relationship with their agency of record in guiding all brand storytelling and processes
Brand Strategy & Management:
- Develop and implement a robust brand strategy that aligns with the Baltimore Orioles' mission, values, and business objectives.
- Oversee the evolution of the team's brand positioning, ensuring consistency and resonance across all platforms and touchpoints.
- Monitor brand health metrics and adjust strategies to enhance brand equity and fan engagement.
Content Strategy & Production:
- Oversee all content creation, including social, digital, video, in-park, and broadcast storytelling
- Drive a content mix that balances performance highlights with human moments and rich fan storytelling.
- Develop scalable content franchises and campaigns that drive engagement, loyalty, and cultural relevance.
Creative Direction:
- Lead a multidisciplinary creative team (design, video, copy, motion) in concepting and producing bold, breakthrough work.
- Ensure high visual and editorial standards across all assets and channels.
- Champion the role of fan imagery and energy in creative-fans should see themselves in the work.
Partnerships & Collaborations:
- Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and activate brand partnerships that align with the Orioles' values and objectives.
- Collaborate with community relations to ensure brand initiatives support and enhance the Orioles' presence in the Baltimore community.
- Engage with media partners to amplify brand messaging and reach target demographics.
Digital & Social Innovation:
- Guide the evolution of Orioles digital platforms and social media presence.
- Build strategies that maximize platform-native storytelling and emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI tools, etc.).
- Partner with Baseball Ops and Comms to ensure access, authenticity, and speed in content creation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Community teams to ensure brand consistency and impact across all campaigns.
- Work in lockstep with Game Presentation, PR, and Baseball Ops to align messaging and tone.
- Act as a brand guardian internally and externally.
Leadership & Culture:
- Build, inspire, and retain a high-performing team of 20+ brand and content professionals.
- Set a culture of excellence, experimentation, and collaboration.
- Manage budgets and vendor relationships with efficiency and creativity.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in brand strategy, content production, and/or creative leadership roles.
- Experience leading brand and content functions for a major sports, entertainment, or culture-driven brand.
- Deep understanding of the digital and social media landscape.
- Strong portfolio of successful campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and visual identity development.
- Exceptional storytelling instincts, both visually and editorially.
- Passion for baseball, Baltimore, and community and fan-driven storytelling.
