Are you an experienced Training and Development expert looking to develop training processes and drive development strategy as part of a dynamic Human Resources team? Are you passionate about improving individual and organizational productivity via timely, high quality training programs, and business processes in just the right format? If so, then we want you to roll up your sleeves with us to facilitate training delivery and consult/advise your fellow leaders and human resources professionals on training and development matters. While you will directly own the Human Resources' training function, you will also be highly visible to the whole organization by assisting every department in the coordination and development of measurable, trackable, and sustainable training initiatives.

As a Learning and Organizational Development Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing training programs that enhance the skills of our employees and the capabilities of our organization. You will manage the entire life cycle of training processes, from assessing needs to delivering programs and evaluating their effectiveness. Your role will also extend to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments.

This position is an in-office position at our Corporate Headquarters in Hunt Valley Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a creative and talented team of L&D professionals.
  • Collaborate with the entire HR Team to efficiently deliver best results.
  • Manage our Learning Management System (LMS) to facilitate continuous performance improvement across the organization.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of learning and organizational development initiatives, utilizing analytics to assess business impact.
  • Oversee the delivery and tracking of HR-delivered training to employees and managers.
  • Coordinate and monitor department-specific training initiatives throughout the company.
  • Manage and optimize the training budget.
  • Provide training and coaching to leaders on employee skill development strategies, including career pathing and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels to keep the organization informed and engaged with training and development opportunities.
  • Through partnerships with business leaders, human resources and other cross-functional contributors, customize training programs to align with organizational goals, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Establish and implement mechanisms to measure and evaluate the success of training programs.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, developments, and best practices in training and development.
  • Source or create high-quality training materials in various formats.
  • Provide leadership and support to your team, emphasizing the importance of service excellence and employee trust.

To be successful your background should look a lot like this:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in training and development or organizational development within an HR framework.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based learning management systems, such as Oracle.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and measure effective training programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and training methodologies.

Travel Requirements: This role may require travel to various US locations to engage with teams and lead training initiatives.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $105,000 to $145,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which would be awarded based on individual and company performance. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
